The Beauty of New Hampshire

This past week, my family and I took a short trip to New Hampshire. We wanted to get away and experience some relaxation even with everything going on in the world. In this post, I am going to highlight the activities we did on the trip and share my favorite photos.

We stayed in an adorable Airbnb in Franconia- it was an Austrian chalet style home. It had a beautiful view of the mountains from the deck and was a cozy place to stay.

Flume Gorge

This is a natural gorge extending 800 feet at the base of Mt Liberty. It is a 2 mile loop and takes about 1.5 hours to walk through. It is a very beautiful thing to see- pictures don’t do it justice. We commented that it looks like “somewhere unicorns would live”.

Artist’s Bluff

We took a hike to Artist’s Bluff. To reach the top where this picture was taken, there are a lot of rocks to climb up, so be aware of this if you want to visit. The view was worth the hike- you can see echo lake and the surrounding mountains.

Mount Washington Cog Railway

We took the Cog Railway up to the top of Mount Washington. Sadly, there was no visibility the day we went up. However, it was a very unique experience as it felt like we stepped into a different world with all the fog and wind up top. The train ride was exciting, and I learned a lot.

We visited the town of Littleton, which is about 15 minutes from Franconia. Littleton is a quaint town that had many shops and restaurants. We ate at the Little Grille since they had outdoor seating available. The food here was great!

Echo Lake

We went kayaking on Echo Lake and then took a hike around the lake. It gave us spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
